Interview with CAT Crafter – Jennie @alittlevintagedoll
What craft is your therapy?: Drawing with the sewing machine. Especially the free motion sewing that is not planned or drawn out first. It’s very freeing and easy to get lost in, an escape to some where else.
How long have you been crafting for?: I loved drawing and painting at school, but only started sewing about 8 years ago – not long before starting my blog.
Tea or coffee? Coffeeeee‼️❤️
Favourite quote?: At the end of the day, we can endure much more than we think we can – Frida Kahlo 💃🏽
Your CAT Story?: In my last year of school, I was ill with Glandular Fever, then ME. Which meant I was only able to do two subjects :: painting and art history. I had a lot of time to spend on my final art portfolio, and so it became therapeutic to be painting and painting, experimenting and evolving. Then I eventually started sewing (and still cannot follow a pattern)! My way is very much led by feeling and intuition. Experimentation and just having a go is when you can surprise yourself and come up with something unexpected and different. I love that.
