Interview with CAT Crafter – Kate @jellybean_junction
Where do you live?: I live in a small town called St Ives which is just outside Cambridge, U.K. I’m so lucky to have the countryside on my doorstep and an abundance of history and culture that Cambridge offers.
What craft is your therapy?: 100% crochet. I love all sorts of arts and crafts but my passion is crochet and not a day goes by without a bit of hooky!
How long have you been crafting for?: I come from a family of knitters, painters and craftaholics so it’s in my blood! There has been a craft of one type or another in my life for as long as I can remember.
Tea or coffee?: Coffee. Always coffee! I admit that I drink too much of it but being a stay at home mum with 2 young boys it is necessary 😂
Favourite quote: There are so many to choose from but one that feels appropriate is “Creativity is contagious, pass it on” – Albert Einstein
Your CAT story: I first picked up my hook just over 2 years ago, it was a welcome distraction from the morning sickness I was suffering with my second son. At first I wanted to make toys, I’d seen some fantastic amigurumi and wanted to try. My crochet style has changed so much since then, I don’t enjoy making toys (give me a blanket any day) and I’m more than a little addicted to buying yarn 🙈😂
