Golden Journey ScarfHi everyone!

I am super excited to finally share my Golden Journey Scarf pattern with you all! If any of you follow me on Instagram you will already know how much I LOVE this scarf. I hope you all love it just as much as me!

This pattern is written in U.S terms and is for a beginner – intermediate skill set. I have tried my very best to make this pattern as easy as possible to understand, but if you have any questions at all, please feel free to comment below.

Enjoy!

What you’ll need:

  • 2x 200 gram balls of Spot Saver USA Style yarn OR any other 10 ply/ worsted weight yarn. 8 ply/ DK could also be used but will alter the width and length slightly, depending on what size hook is used.
  • 6mm Crochet Hook  (Or hook size that corresponds with the yarn you’re using. You may also like to go down a hook size to achieve desired tension.)
  • Darning Needle
  • Scissors
  • Piece of cardboard or something for making your tassel (I used an 11cm coaster)

Stitches Used:

  • Chain (CH)
  • Half Double Crochet (HDC)
  • Double Crochet (DC)

  • Back Post Double Crochet (BPDC)
  • Slip Stitch (SL ST)

SC all the way around edge of scarf. Once you’re back to the beginning sl st into first sc, cut yarn and finish off.

Sew in ends.

Create 2 tassels. (Details below)

Sew tassels to end points of scarf.

Tassel Instructions

To make tassels, take your piece of cardboard or item of choice (I’m using a coaster) and wrap your yarn around 70 times.

Cut yarn, and carefully slide yarn off cardboard.

Take a piece of yarn, approximately 15 inches long and insert through loop (where my hand is in above photo). Tie knot to fasten.

Take another piece of yarn, approximately 15 inches long, and tie around top of tassel. Wrap around a couple of times and tie knot to fasten. Using a darning needle, hide ends by tucking them underneath the yarn you just wrapped around the tassel.

Take scissors and cut through loops at the bottom of tassel.

Use scissors to tidy up ends if you’d like a neater looking tassel.

DONE! 🙂
