You will need…
– Yarn of your choice (I have used Drops Paris Aran/worsted weight yarn)
– 4.5mm Hook, or hook half size lower than recommended for your yarn
– Yarn needle
– Scissors
Abbreviations… (US Terms)
Ch = Chain
SS = Slip Stitch
MC = Magic Circle
SC = Single Crochet (US Terms)
PS = Puff Stitch

Puff Stitch directions = (Yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop) x3 into the same stitch. You should have 7 strands on your hook. Yarn over, and pull through all 7 strands. Ch1 to close the stitch.

Sizing information …
Using Drops Paris Aran/worsted yarn creates an approx. 6.5cm/2.5” small scrubbie and approx. 9.5cm/3.5” large scrubbie.

The Large Scrubbie Pattern (US terms)

Round 1.)
MC. Ch1 to secure the circle, then 11SC into the MC. SS into the first SC. (11SC)

Round 2.)
Ch1 then PS into the same stitch. PS into each SC around.

The last PS is placed into the space created from the SS in round 1. (12PS)
SS into first PS.
2aRound 3.)
Ch1. SC into next space between two PS of previous round, then SC into top of next PS. Continue around. (23SC). SS into first SC.

Round 4.)
Ch1 then PS in the same stitch. PS in each SC around. The last PS is placed into the space created from the SS in round 3. (24PS). SS into first PS.

Round 5.)
Ch1. SC in next space between two PS of previous round, then SC into next PS. Continue around. (47SC). Cut yarn and pull yarn through, leaving a tail.

Invisible Join
Thread yarn onto needle. Thread through both loops of the closest SC…

… and then through the back loop of the last SC.

Weave in your ends. Your scrubbie is complete!

The Small Scrubbie Pattern (US terms)

Round 1.)
MC. Ch1 to secure the circle, then 8PS into the MC. SS into the first PS. (8PS)

SS into the space between two PS of previous round, Ch1 to start first PS then 2PS here and in each space around (16PS). SS into first PS.

Ch1. SC into next space between two PS of previous round, then SC into next PS. Continue around. (31SC). Cut yarn and pull yarn through, leaving a tail.
